CA Vivek Jain started Jain Gupta & Associates in 1990, together with CA Pradeep Kumar Gupta, and is the visionary behind P V A R & Associates as it stands today. He has given more than 37 years to the Chartered Accountancy profession.
His name is most closely associated with income tax. Over three decades he has built a reputation across return filing and assessment work, scrutiny and reassessment proceedings, search and seizure matters, and the appellate work that follows — appearing before the Commissioner (Appeals) and the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, and settling the submissions in matters carried further. Clients who came to the firm for a single assessment have in many cases stayed for a generation.
His leadership, ethical approach and pursuit of professional excellence have earned the confidence of clients and laid the foundation for a practice built on trust, quality and long-term relationships. The firm's insistence on taking a position only where it can be defended on the record is his.
CA Vivek Jain has since stepped back from his role as a partner, and his son, CA Atishaya Jain, has been admitted to the partnership in his place. He nonetheless remains the firm's guiding counsel. The depth of knowledge, the client relationships and the goodwill built across more than three decades continue to run through the practice, and it is on that foundation that the present partners work.
