CA Pradeep Kumar Gupta

CA Pradeep Kumar Gupta founded Jain Gupta & Associates in 1990 together with CA Vivek Jain, and has practised continuously since his enrolment with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in 1987 — 39+ years in the profession.

His practice has centred on the audit of major corporate and non-corporate clients, and on direct and indirect taxation, where he acts as financial adviser and consultant to a number of corporate groups. He is a Fellow member of the Institute, a Diploma holder in Information Systems Audit and in Insurance and Risk Management, a qualified Forensic Auditor, and has completed the Institute's Concurrent Audit course.

Alongside practice he has given a considerable part of his career to the profession itself and to public institutions. He has served as Chairman of the Ghaziabad Branch of ICAI, as a Member of the Board of Studies of ICAI in New Delhi, and as President of the Ghaziabad Tax Bar Association. He has been a Senate Member of SNDT Women's University, Mumbai, a State University, and a Member of the Regional Advisory Committee for Customs, Central Excise and Service Tax at the Ghaziabad Commissionerate.

That combination — a working audit practice on one side, and years spent inside the bodies that regulate and represent the profession on the other — is what shaped how this firm approaches an engagement: conservatively on matters of record, and firmly where a client's position is defensible.
